Gimje Horizon Festival
*Food information provided below is from the previous year (2025); details for the 2026 festival are currently being updated.* As the only festival designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism that focuses on traditional agricultural culture, the Gimje Horizon Festival is held at the historic Byeokgolje reservoir, the oldest and largest irrigation facility in Korea. Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions, including the Presidential Cup National Nongak Contest, as well as hands-on farming experiences like cooking rice in traditional hearths, catching grasshoppers, and harvesting rice. Traditional events such as the Ssangyong Play and the Ipseok Tug-of-War for a bountiful harvest are also available for guests to participate in.
