2026 Geumnam-ro Car-Free Street 'Geotja-ing'
'Geotja-ing' combines a local dialect phrase with the English suffix '-ing,' meaning 'let's walk' together on Geumnam-ro. In line with Gwangju's 'Public Transport, Bicycle, and Walking' (Dae-Ja-Bo) initiative, this event aims to overcome the climate crisis and create a space for rest and communication. From April to November 2026, it will be held on the first Saturday of every month, offering a pedestrian-friendly environment along with various hands-on programs and cultural performances.
