Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion
Yeonggeumjeong is a rocky coastal area located below the Sokcho Lighthouse in Dongmyeong-dong, Sokcho. Named for the mystical sounds of waves crashing against the rocks—resembling the melody of a geomungo (zither)—it is a popular year-round spot for locals to fish and relax. Today, the area features a seaside pavilion accessible via a 50-meter bridge, offering refreshing views of the East Sea. Though it is a modern concrete structure, it is widely known as a premier location for sunrise viewing.
